Dr. David Kowal is originally from Binghamton, New York. He did his undergraduate work at Wake Forest University and received his Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. Following graduation, Dr. Kowal completed a hospital-based residency at the Brooklyn Veteran's Administration Medical Center in New York City then joined the optometric staff at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida.
